dgrp_cfg_node did not create devices

I’m replacing an old SCO server with RedHat ES 5. I’ve installed the dgrp-1.9-20 (40002086_p.gz). the installation seemed to go without error however no “/dev/ttyz*” devices were created.

Any one have any ideas as to what to try?

Is pserverz available on the network with the 771 socket/port open? This can be checked with telnet:

telnet pservrz 771

The ports will not be created unless the driver daemon can actually communicate with the unit.
