We tring to use Digi Neo 8 under Linux Fedora Core 2 with the rpm 40002369_B
with kernel 2.6.10-1.12_FC2smp .
We have downloaded the 40002369_B.src.rpm
from Digi site and successfully installed it.
but when i run /etc/rc.d/init.d/dgnc start
errors apears - cat : /proc/dgnc/0/mknod : illegal
if i boot from the diskette the card ir recognized ok
but if i try to /etc/dgnc/dgnctest the card is not recognized
I got the same problem using digi neo 8 on
fedora core 3 running stock kernel 2.6.9-1.667.
One problem I noticed is that the rpm did not
create the /dev files for this device? The release
notes 93000517_b.txt states that there should be
devices /dev/dg/dgnc/ttyn and /dev/ttyn
but after the install I don’t see these devices?
