Disabling IO error driver notification on Red Hat ES4

Hello, I’ve a Wi-SP with Realport Driver for Linux ver. 1.9-17.
What I’ve experienced is that if the server lost connectivity with the Digi (power on/off) the driver notify to the application that manage the tty with an I/O error.
I verified it with minicom getting this error:
[root@lisn4006 ~]# minicom
minicom: can’t open /dev/ttyM00: resource not available temporally

That’s compressible but in my particular case I would prefer to avoid it because my application is not managing exceptions correctly.
Can I change this behavior?.
Thanks in advance.

Model: Digi Connect Wi-SP
Firmware Version: 2.4.5.2 (Version 82001220_H3 06/19/2007)
Boot Version: 1.1.3 (release_82001187_C)
POST Version: 1.1.3 (release_82001188_E)

There is no means of changing the driver notification.

Essentially, when the network or power is out to the Wi-SP unit, the serial port (UART) is not accessible.
