Realport problem with Red Hat

Hello,

I have several Digi Connect Wi-SP installed in a server with Red Hat, version:

Linux lisn3506 2.6.9-22.ELsmp #1 SMP Mon Sep 19 18:32:14 EDT 2005 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 4 (Nahant Update 2)

Some devices are listed as IDLE or READY but I have some other with status WAIT_QUERY and it´s not possible to connect with them. The only way to recovery them is doing:

drgp_daemon stop
drgp_daemon start

I would like to know what means this status and if there is any other way to recover the communication.

Digi Connect WI-SP Firmware:

DIGI Firmware Version 2.8.2

Linux lisn3506 2.6.9-22.ELsmp #1 SMP Mon Sep 19 18:32:14 EDT 2005 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 4 (Nahant Update 2)

Sounds like there may some communication problems between the host and the Digi Connect unit.

Are the Digi Connect units on the local LAN or WAN?

Are you able to connect to the RealPort socket on the units when this problem occurs?

telnet (ip_of_Digi_Connect) 771

You will not see anything useful in the telnet, it is only to confirm you can connect successfully.

Have you selected the RealPort profile for the serial ports on the Digi Connect units?

I can not test it at this momment because I haven´t got any device in this state right now but when it occurs I can connect with them using the webserver

Yes, RealPort profile is selected.

I need to know the roaming WIFI parameters of the Connect WI-SP

Thanks for your answer

Hi Mr. Cortes, did you solve the “WAIT_QUERY” stuff? I have the same problem and I think that some instability issues of my network could give the problem.
