Does Digi Device Discovery Utility run as is under Windows Embedded 7?

Hi,

I don’t believe Digi has officially tested the Device Discovery Utility under Windows Embedded 7. Are you having issues?

Hi,

Thanks for your response. We have not tried it yet and were just wondering if it was likely to work as it will influence our decision to use WEC7.

Do you think it will work?

Thanks.

I believe Windows embedded OS’s are based on lots of the same code of the more standard/normal Windows OS’s, so I expect it will work just fine, but you should probably try it yourself. The Device Discovery Utility is a free download, and there’s even a standalone .exe version (so, you don’t have to “install” it) available.

Thank you. That gives us some confidence that it might work. I’ll post back once we try the standalone version, within the next few weeks.

This was tested on Windows CE with Device Discovery.
