Does the RTS flow control overrides pull up resistor settings?

Hi,

I’m using the S2C SMT XBee Pro module and I need to use the RTS/CTS flow control. It seems that by enabling the RTS control (D6) it forcibly enables the line’s pull up resistor. An external processor is pulling the line low.

I set the resistor pull down (PR0000) and enable it (PD0020) in addition to setting D6 to a digital input (D60). When it is set to D60, it pulls down, but when set to D61 it pulls up, disregarding the pull up commands.

Is this expected behavior? Is there a way to disable the pull up resistor? Its draining a lot of current.

Yes that would be expected behavior as RTS is active High.
