Etherlite 160 firmware downgrade

Hi,

is there a way to downgrade the firmware of the Etherlite 160? I tried to “update” the firmware using the old firmware (ver 1.4) with DgIPServ. No problems accure in this process. But cheking with verlog it shows me that the Etherlite still uses FW ver 1.6.

Any ideas how to perform the downgrade?

Upgrading or downgrading the firmware works the same way. It looks like your firmware upgrade wasn’t successful, but that doesn’t mean it won’t work.

There are several different methods for changing the firmware, which can be found in our knowledgebase. What I’ve found to be the most reliable would be the Etherlite Boot Console/manual method, using a tftp server where the Etherlite can grab the firmware from. DgIpServ would be another option.

Thanks for the quick answer. I tried the methods you suggested and found the problem. I connected the pc to the etherlite directly via a crosslink cable. Using a simple hub I had no problems in downgrading the firmware.

Excellent! Glad to hear you got it working and thanks for the follow up.
