extend range of XBee network

Hi,

I recently purchased the Xbee Pro 900HP Dev kit. I’m building an Xbee network in an industrial plant. What is the most cost effective way to get repeater nodes in between?

The network consists of:

  1. Several devices with an Xbee Pro 900HP radio module sending out and receiving signals.
  2. Repeaters
  3. XBIB-U-Dev board with Xbee Pro 900HP module and RPSMA antenna plugged into desktop.

The devices (1) are clustered together in one area of the plant. Device #3 sits in a server room at the opposite end of plant.

The distance from 1 to 3 is approx. 2000ft with some walls in between. What would be best to use as repeaters for #2 (in between)?

Do I need to get the XBIB-U dev boards, Xbee chips, RPSMA antennas and power chords for each repeater? I’ve looked at the Wall Router (XR-214-CW1P1). This has a range of about 300ft. What is the best way to extend the range of my network?
