Http client not able to connect

Hi,
I have digi Connect EM board.
I am running an application that has a client.
As the board boots up,it connects to a server running in a laptop.
If I connect the ethernet cable directly to the laptop,I am able to connect to the server.
But if I connect a router in between,I am unable to connect to the server[through the client].
The router is configured for port forwarding.

Can anyone let me know if any setting like port forwarding is required in NetOs files??

The first thing I would look at is to see if you have assigned a gateway address within your Connect EM application.

Aside from ensuring that you have a gateway address (it needs to also be correct, of course) I can think of nothing that one would have to do within the embedded application. The rest of the connection is controlled by the router.
