I am use the Rapidport 4 attached to Windows Server 2008 system. I have loaded the utility but the port status and test port features indicators are greyed out in the utility. How can I fix this. Does the modem make any connection sounds?
The two buttons that you’re referring to are only applicable to Digi Edgeport USB-to-serial converters (which share the same Edgeport Configuration Utility), not Rapidports, so what you’re seeing is normal.
To answer your other question, no, Rapidports do not have internal speakers.
