Is spi possible on the S1 xbee?

Hello,
I have a couple of S1 xbee http://www.adafruit.com/products/128
I am interested in wireless spi. Did I buy the wrong models? According to http://ftp1.digi.com/support/documentat … 20XBee.pdf I believe I actually need S2 http://www.adafruit.com/products/968

Could someone confirm or point me to some documentation on SPI via S1?

No the S1 or 802.15.4 modules do not support an SPI interface. You must actually use an S2C (XBee ZB SMT or the new TH modules) for an XBee that offers a SPI interface.
