New to the RF world and need assistance! I need to establish a simple mesh network (5-10 end points) that occasionally (1x per day) measure some simple sensor data (switches open vs closed). I am hoping to establish a Zigbee mesh network with multiple end devices/routers (XB2C) communicating through a coordinating X-bee cellular module, which would in turn transmit an small SMS indicating status of all sensors to my phone. Can this be done with current Xbee technology and hardware? And if so, what hardware would I need? I would prefer not to use a proper Xbee Gateway (such as the X2E-Z4C-D2-A) because my power options on-site are limited to battery and solar.
