I cant get my two XBee Pro XBP24BZ7 to communicate with each other over XCTU :
One has ZigBee Router AT 22A7 the other has ZigBee Coordinator AT 20A7 firmware.
Both have the same Pan ID and Baud rates
Both have SH & DH = 13A200
Router SL and Coordinator DL is 40B583A5
Coordinator SL and Router DL is 40E71AB5
I’ve noticed that although the Coordinator has a ‘C’ icon in its summary on the left hand panel the Router does not have a corresponding ‘R’
If I replace the Router XBee with a S2 with the same settings I can get communications and the ‘R’ icon is visible in the XBee list in the left hand pane of XCTU.
Any clues as to what I have set incorrectly? I’m trying to achieve simple two way serial data communications between the two devices.
Thanks for your reply,
I’ve tried the network reset - but only on the router XBee. I’ll repeat it on them both. Is the AI command an AT command or is it the Association Indication parameter? - if so, would I expect to see it change on a refresh if the modules start to connect?
I’m still confused by the fact that the Radio Modules list icon has no ‘R’ icon on it.
Thanks
Yes, the AI command is the Association Indicator. Querying the command will provide the the status of the module. An AI value of 0 indicate that it has associated.
I finally worked this out - it was a problem when updating the firmware the “Force the module to retain its current configuration” check box was checked and it seems that (at least) the OP and OI parameters were not getting updated. I did a ATRE and reflashed the firmware and it working now.
