Hola, tengo un Digi IX20 conectado por RS232 a un medidor sl7000 itron. El router tiene conectividad y responde ping. Con Hércules puedo abrir el puerto TCP, pero el software no recibe datos del medidor.
Good afternoon,
Within the IX20’s settings go to Serial > Port 1, and ensure “Remote Access (TCP”)" is selected.
Then expand TCP connection, ensue that’s enabled, make note of the (TCP) port number, and choose Raw for the connection type.
Next, expand the Access Control List (ACL) in this area, and then expand each of the sections within it. By default, they are all empty, meaning there is no filtering. But if you have any entries in any of these areas, that means that ONLY those filtered connections are allowed (to this TCP port / the serial port) and no other connections (via any other IPs, any other Zones etc) are allowed.
But if Hercules can connect then the above are likely not applicable (still, it can’t hurt to check).
Are you sure you’re using proper serial cabling? The IX20’s serial port is DTE (like a PC’s serial port), so if the Itron is also DTE then you’d need to use null modem serial cabling. If the Itron is DCE then you’d need to use straight-through serial cabling.
Does this help?
Buen días amigo ,si todo esto lo emos realizado pero no emos podido comunicarnos con ningun medidor,y tenemos 30 módems digi ix20

I suggest updating the IX20 to the latest firmware version, specifically 26.2.147.125 LTS. I am confident that this firmware does not have any bugs related to TCP sockets because I tested TCP sockets against this firmware recently (and it worked, I was able to log into the console of a separate Digi device via its serial port, over cellular).
If that does not help, I would suggest engaging with the support team for the sl7000 itron as well as the software you’re using to talk to the sl7000 itron, because your IX20 is configured properly and because you can open the port with Hercules.
