which possibility do you have to update the firmware of the ZigBee node in the ConnectPort X4?
I have heard that I have to remove the ZigBee module out of the ConnectPort X4 and I have to load the firmware separately.
Is this true?

Currently this is true. In order to update the firmware on the radio found within a ConnectPort X product, you have to open the case, remove the radio, and update it with an X-BIB development board in conjunction with the X-CTU utility. In future, this functionality will be added to the Web UI of the ConnectPort X itself, so this “manual” process won’t be necessary.
The functionality of updating the firmware on the radio module inside gateway from Web UI has been added.
