RealPortUSB Host Controller in error on Windows 2012 VM

Dear,

I have a Windows 2012 VM (running on VMWare) on which I have installed the v3.51 driver. The configuration utility connects properly to my remote AnywhereUSB/2 device.

When looking at the Windows devices and printers, I have 2 additional devices:

  • RealPortUSB remote hub
  • RealportUSB host controller

The latter is in error with the following message:

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

I already came across this article:
http://www.digi.com/support/kbase/kbaseresultdetl?id=1051

In the system32\drivers folder, the file usbd.sys is present in that folder.

When I connect with another VM, things run fine. I also excluded any firewall issue by opening all available ports to the AnywhereUSB device.

How can I fix this issue?

Thanks
