I am doing a project, using a red back arduino board using a AVR MCU. It is a Spider that is operated using a IR based controller. That comes inbuilt with the kit. I need xbee modules so that I will be able to transmit video signals from the spider to a laptop that is connected to another transmitter xbee module directly to the laptop at a far distance. So my query is which kind of xbee module will be suitable for this purpose. I need xbee modules that can be directly interfaced with the laptop.

I guess you can opt for Xbee Wi-Fi module. It will directly connect with your laptop and will eliminate the requirement of second module to catch the data on laptop’s end.
To listen this wi-fi module, you will need to setup a TCP server on your laptop.
