I am having trouble updating firmware using the serial cable for our company M2M devices using the RFU application.
Luckily the current firmware on each device can accept remote firmware upgrades. So I have the “firmware”.bin file but I am missing a “flashcopy.bin” file which is required for the operation.
Here is the code in the XML for the remote update…
/firmware/UKPROJECTMAIN_newFlow_demoupdated_29062010.bin
/firmware/flashcopy.bin
Unfortunately the company which developed our machines is based in India and they are holding us to ransom over this. They say that they no longer work with the processor (project is a few years old) and so they would have recruit specialist staff, testing equipment etc etc!
I am sure there is a much simpler solution. Using the RFU application to update using a serial cable uses the following files, which I have:
coldload.bin
Flash.ini
pilot.bin
