Hello,
Save existing configs:
If you haven’t done this in a while, you might want to consider saving your configuration settings to a file, in case any of this procedure triggers a factory reset.
If needed, here is a link for saving your configuration:
Firmware:
Here are instructions to fix this for with the latest firmware (you first need to update to the latest firmware):
If needed, here are the instructions for the firmware upgrade:
Delete old Certificate:
In order to re-generate a new certificate, you need to manually delete the old one.
You need to enable “interactive shell access” for the “admin” Group, within the Authentication area of the config in the AWUSB Plus webUI.
Then when you login next time via SSH (or via the Terminal, if using the AWUSB Plus webUI), you will get a selection menu. Select “s” for Shell here and then you have the correct permissions to remove the old certificate by issuing the follow Shell command:
rm /etc/config/ssl.pem
(ONLY delete this file, do not delete any other files!
New Certificate:
Please avoid using a custom certificate, because this is not only for HTTPS but also used for the AnywhereUSB Plus service, which means all clients (running AnywhereUSB Manager) would need to change the cert also to a custom one.
Remove Hub Certificate:
If you change the hub cert (by creating a new one now), all clients will complain about invalid hub cert, so you need to remove the hub cert on the client side, in order to get the client exchange new certs with the hub:
If your AnywhereUSB Manager is older than 3.1.33.1, uninstall the old AnywhereUSB Manager (as Windows Administrator) - do not keep the settings to have the old certs removed, and install the newest one from the following URL:
