Hi All,
I have a AnywhereUSB 8 PLUS s/n AW08-003409 purchased in March 2022. Since then, the hub has worked perfectly from three PC’s, (Joan-1, Joan-2, Joan-3) but after replacing two of the PC’s (Joan-2 and Joan-3) for age, I did not get any of the new PC’s to reconnect with the AW08-G300 hub. All PC’s are currently under WIN10 PRO 64b.
At first, the software manager of any of the new PCs recognizes the hub, but after a few seconds the “Invalid Client Certificate” error occurs, see the attached images.
The connection configuration is as follows: Three computers connected by Ethernet network cable to the modem/router of the Internet provider. From this modem/router, there is a single 60m. long cat7 Ethernet network cable, which connects to the AnywhereUSB 8 unit.
The Anywhere USB 8 unit was initially configured to work with a maximum of three clients PC’s but in my day to day only one PC (Joan-1) is used and I leave the others for possible backup availability.
I suspect that the problem could be a simply bad configuration of the hub because we do have access through one PC (Joan-1). To date, we have carried out the following actions without success:
-
Update the AnywhereUSB Manager to v 3.1.30.1
-
IP ping testing.
-
Replace the modem/router cable of 60m. to the AnywhereUSB drive.
-
Check the unit settings.
-
Follow DIGI’s instructions in their FAQ’s to remove/add the new hub and error message.
-
Uninstall the entire application and reload the Manager software again.
Question: The IP addresses listed in the settings, looks correct?
I would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you
Joan Genebriera

Hello @Astropriorat. In your third screenshot above, you’re showing the Configure → Manage Hub Credentials area of AnywhereUSB Manager, with button options for Update, Remove, and Close, and you have S/N AW08-003409 selected.
In the screenshot I describe above, go back to that same place, highlight AW08-003409, then hit the “Remove” option. Once this is complete, close that screen.
Once the cert has been removed per the above instructions, reboot your AW08-003409 hub. Once it reboots, hopefully you’ll get a green/Lock symbol on your connection in Manager, indicating the connection from Manager to Hub has been established.
One other thing I wanted to mention is that in the 6th screenshot down where you’re showing the ETH1 config for the Default IP interface, please note that Default IP is basically used for initial setup, which is why it uses the Setup Zone. Your AnywhereUSB Manager install should actually be connecting to your ETH1 IPv4 address, which in this case is 192.168.1.36/24, as shown in the screenshot immediately below the Default IP screenshot.
If the above suggestions aren’t useful, I’d recommend contacting Technical Support by opening a support case, so we can get some additional details from you. Hopefully that helps!
Hi Michaelt,
First of all, excuse the delay in replying to your note.
We plan to follow your instructions next weekend to have a greater margin of time.
We hope it works because the option to reset the unit scares us a bit.
Thank you for your help
Hi Michaelt
We finally fixed the problem. The solution was to erase all traces of the AnywhereUSB Manager software on both computers, update the software and firmware to the latest version. We also removed the “know hubs” and “manage hub credentials”, then we configured the “clients” and finally reset the unit.
When the start was over everything looked OK.
Thank you for your help and guidance
Best regards
Joan Genebriera
