we are trying to connect a serial lab instrument to ethernet and fetch results from the instrument in a server.
we have digi-one-sp connected to the host of the instrument. we have a serial port configured as tcp sockets in the digi. Can I send serial commands connecting to telnet port using putty or command prompt and what is the format of the commands ascii or hex or dec. Also we are setting up this for first time is our understanding and architecture correct?
