I am using a Digi One SP to connect a serial device to a pc over ethernet. I want the serial device to configure the Digi One via the serial port then send udp data to the pc.
If I set the Digi One device type to term, then I get the command line and my serial device can configure it. Then if I change the device type to prn I can send udp data. However I am not able to get back to command line.
My questions are as follows:
- is there a way of switching back to device type term through the serial port?
- is the command line only available when device type is term?
- can I only send udp data when device type is prn?
- what does command ‘connect’ do?
