Using XBee3 Micro to map Smartthings network

This is almost certainly me doing something wrong, so please bear with me.

I bought a SparkFun Thing Plus XBee3 Micro to map my Smartthings Zigbee network.

The module is running the Zigbee 3.0 firmware & all the commands (including KY) agree with what others have done successfully.

It connects to the network & reports the correct PAN & channel however won’t show a map of connected devices. I suspect that there is another step I’m missing.

Can anyone help point me in the right direction please?

What tool are you using to view the Map of the network?

Are all of the devices in this network Digi XBee modules or are they 3rd party?

Thanks for your reply.

I’m using XCTU for the programming/mapping.
The Zigbee modules are a mix from different manufacturers but all connect to the Smartthings hub & report their capabilities correctly. The Sparkfun module is the only Digi product on the network.

Mike

The XCTU software and its Networking Map functions is for Digi products. These functions work within the Digi application on the XBee.

Thanks for your follow-up reply.

For the avoidance of doubt, can I just confirm that it is not possible to map a Zigbee network using XCTU & an XBee3 unless the other Zigbee devices in the network are Digi XBee products?

That would be correct.

Actually, that wouldn’t be correct. After a few hours study, I have it working.

Your reply was either deliberately mis-leading because you didn’t want me to get a Digi product I purchased working with other - non-Digi - modules or it was inaccurate.

Neither of these explanations reflect well on your company.
