WEP problem with Wi-ME

Hello,

I have a 3COM access point and a Wi-ME module.
I use a 64 bits key, the AP works well with many notebooks.

When i try to activate the WEP protocol, the Wi-ME didn’t find the access point.

I use static IP and only WEP with 64bits key.

It works when i not use WEP, is somebody have an idea for resolve this ?

Because my application is on a public site and the WEP protocol is very very important.

Thanks a lot.
Philippe.

Hello Philippe,

I enabled yesterday the WEP encryption of my Wi-ME and it doesn’t find my access point, either. But the biggest problem is that now I cannot see the target anymore to restore the original settings (no encryption).
Do you know how can I do this?
Thanks,

I have almost the same problem. I used WAP with Pre-Phrase with no problem. Then I tried to change SSID from default “Connect”. After that I’ve lost any communication with my DigiWiME. I changed SSID on AccessPoint too
I have no idea how can I restore DigiWiME device to some default unprotected settings.
I have no EvBoard, but I can send any signal to 20pin interface from my uC system. But I have to know what i have to do to restore this device to default settings.
Hard reset (any time, any combination) doesn’t work.
DigiWiME still has changed SSID settings (and maybe WAP) and don’t connect with AccessPoint so I can’t use Web or telnet login. I can’t even discover this device.
Please Help.
