What will replace the XB24-Z7PIT-004

Hello.

I’ve been using XB24-Z7PIT-004 (series 1) for a couple of years and now find out they’re going to be discontinued. I’ve brought some XB24CZ7PIT-004 but I think these are series 2 so aren’t compatible?

Should these radios talk to each other or what should I get to replace the XB24-Z7PIT-004 I’ve been using.

Both part numbers you have referenced are what is commonly called as Series 2 products. You can tell that by seeing the Z7 listing within the part number. So the answer is yes, they are both compatible with each other.
