Windows 7 driver

We use the EdgePort/22c USB to serial device. We are moving to Windows 7, and my CD that claims to only support Windows XP. Where can I get the Windows 7 driver from?

Thanks,

We’re working on a new Edgeport driver that will add support for Windows 7. It should be released in August or September.

In the meantime, we recommend using the current release v5.10 Edgeport driver that supports Vista and Server 2008 as the latest Windows Operating Systems.

Based on limited internal testing, and customer feedback, it seems to work fine, at least regarding basic functionality.

Thanks, I will give that a try.

The driver you suggested worked for Windows 7 Professional 32-bit.

You mentioned you are working on the Windows 7 driver. Do you know when, approx, the driver will be released? Also, we develop on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. I have not tested your driver on the 64 bit operating system yet. Do you have any idea if it will work?

The current release (v5.10) should work with Windows 7, both 32-bit and 64-bit. There could be minor bugs but it should work in a basic sense at least.

The new version should be released within about a week. Please check our support site then (use the link below) and when you see the new version listed (I think it will be v5.30) then you’ll know that’s the new version. You could alternatively check the Release Notes link to confirm it’s the new version that supports Windows 7 “officially”.
