Im a beginner on zigbee communication. Im trying to build a zigbee network with 16 XB24.
As i have figured out I only need to set the XB24 in my modem to API mode 1, and enable coordinator. Done in x-ctu.
The rest of the Xbees I dont need to do anything else but put in the destination adress?

That is correct. All you need to do is to set the DL and or DH to the address of the coordinator. However you are using an 802.15.4 product and not a ZigBee product. ZigBee is a higher level protocol that runs on top of the 802.15.4 PHY and MAC layers which allows for routing of data.
