Is it possible to put the firmware of a XB8-DM (8074) on a XB8-DP device (1074) and other way around?

prees the update icon in x-ctu and see required firmware is there or not if its there u can able to update the version

Yes thanks, this is possible and it also works. But still wondering if this is all is 100% compatible.
99% compatible once the update firmware is successful there is 1% chance getting fail that to in very rare cases only
