I am totally new to Xbee’s and I bought 2 sainsmart xbee shields I bought them here and I am have no clue how to set the pan id etc on the 2 xbee s1’s I have. X-ctu gives me an error message when I try to update or read the firmware"Unable to find configuration file for modem (firmware version ERROR). Use ‘Download new versions’ button to check the web for newer versions.

I am using windows 7 32 bit and xctu 5.2.7.5

Download the versions from http://www.digi.com/support/supporttype?type=firmware , select your radio type.
Go to X-CTU and click “Download new version” and select “File” as option and select the downloaded file.
