For my Xbee the gateway came up as a Coordinator. I cannot see nearby XBees. I tried changing to the common network PAN id. Do I need to set another parameter on the XBees for them to join the xbee gateway’s network ?
On power up, the ZigBee radios scan all the 2.4 GHz channels sequentially in search of a coordinator.
If they all have the same PAN ID settings, and nothing else changed, then they should find the Coordinator within 60 seconds.
The Coordinator is determined by its firmware function set (on XBee S2B), or the CE parameter on XBee S2C
