I am looking for a xbee for a beginner mesh network project. We need to have a mesh network with ±5km distance. Which xbee version do you think is the best to use?
What country / region of the world are you going to be in?
What data rate do you require?
Is this distance Indoor/urban or outdoor LOS?
What is it you want to send over the network?
How many nodes is this network to consist of?
I want to use it international. It’s going to be used outdoors and the data I want to send/receive are simple text messages. We are going to use (as beginner prototype version) with 3 nodes, but the goal is to use it with many as possible. The more nodes that can receive/send the better.
