Xbee3 goes to sleep even with Sleep set to 0?

I have a batch of new (to me) Xbee3 standard pinout modules. They come as Zigbee so I reflash them to 802.15.4

So here is the issue: The ‘sleep’ pin in my design floats. I have not had a problem with this in the older S2Cs and even S1s but in some of my Xbee3s, it seems that even though sleep=0 OFF, that the pin floating might be putting it to sleep?

After a certain amount of time, about 10-15 minutes, the Xbee3 will just quit talking. It does not receive broadcast packets, nor does it respond to directed MAC messages. A power cycle clears this but it comes back.

If I go in and set the sleep pins to DISABLE, then I don’t see this.

So the question is, is this a known issue?

This is something that is better addressed via an email to tech.support@digi.com instead of a Forum post. When you send the email, please make sure to indicate which firmware version you are working with along with any specific settings and or pins used.
