I have Digi XBee-PRO 900HP DigiMesh Kit (US/Canada) (https://www.digi.com/products/models/xkb9-dmt-uhp). The Xbee module is attached to the Xbee development board and I am able to easily send messages from one Xbee to another using XCTU.
I recently realized that the Xbee module (linked above) is non-programmable. However, I am interested in running the commands without having to connect the Xbee to PC or laptop. I would like to start running the command that would keep on running even after the PC connection is cut off just like Raspberry Pi or Arduino. I have looked into programmable Xbee as well. However, before going further with the purchase, I am interested to know if I would be able to achieve it by plugging the Xbee I currently have to Raspberry Pi? Does anyone has experience using Raspberry Pi development board with XBP9B-DMWT-002 Xbee module? Any help/guidance would be highly appreciated.
