XCTU Not Detecting XBee Pro S3B with Bright Screen Issue

Hello everyone,

I have been using XCTU to connect to my Digi RF Modem without issues in the past. I’m currently on Windows 10, running XCTU Version 6.5.4. I’m connecting via Micro USB, and usually, I see a COM Port listed as USB Serial or Arduino Uno (after installing the Arduino IDE).

Now, I’m trying to connect to an XBEE Pro S3B module, but XCTU does not seem to detect it. Occasionally, instead of finding the module, XCTU just shows a light white bright screen. My baud rate and other settings are on default, the power light is on, and the RX light flashes during the search, so it seems like something should be working.

I have tried installing the Atmega8u driver, though I’m wondering if it should actually be using Atmega16u. Has anyone else run into this bright screen or detection issue with XCTU? Any advice on how to resolve this?

I would suggest using an XBIB interface board to connect the XBee PRO 900 HP to the PC with when you want to use XCTU. It is designed to do just that regardless of what firmware version is installed.
