3-device network. How to know if router is working?

Hello,

I am setting up a basic network with 3 xbees: 1 coordinator, 1 router and 1 end device. The end device is supposed to take samples and send then to the coordinator. I would also like communication from coordinator to end device.

All 3 devices are PRO S3B.

My configuration is the following one:

End Device:

  • DH: 13A200
  • DL: Address of coordinator
  • TO: C0
  • CE: STANDARD ROUTER [0]

ROUTER:

  • DH: 0
  • DL: FFFF
  • TO: C0 (I am not sure if this has to be 80 instead, for repeater)
  • CE: STANDARD ROUTER [0]

COORDINATOR:

  • DH: 0
  • DL: FFFF
  • TO: C0
  • CE: INDIRECT MESSAGE COORDINATOR [1]

All devices are in the same network and I am able to see the 3 of them if I scan the network in X-CTU. The samples are also arriving to the coordinator, but I am not sure if the router is actually doing something or not. I tried doing a field test but I am still not sure.

Is this configuration correct?. How can I know for sure that the router is working?

Thanks!

Take the middle router out and see if you can send data back and forth form the Coordinator to your end node. If you can’t then you know the router is being used.
