anywhere USB BSOD when Microtouch drivers are loaded 2003(SP2) web edition

Hello I am working with a company using anywhere USB/2 I believe units with one of our model touch screens. They have been having problems getting the anywhere USB to work when our touch screen is attached to it and our drivers are installed.

Our unit is a PT1501MU with a 3M microtouch controller in it. When either our driver or just anywhereUSB drivers are installed on there 2003 server (web edition) SP2-32bit the computer works fine and they have verified that our touchscreen functions properly when directly connected to the server. Once our touch screen is attached with both anywhereUSB and our driver installed the computer BSOD giving this STOP error: 0X0000007E, 0XC0000005, 0X8681EC7E, 0XF78E6BBC, 0XF78E68B8 SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED.

The client was using a different model touch screen in this same environment before using the PT1501MU with the 3M microtouch controller and had no problems. But the controller in the other units (PT1510MX) are Touchkit eGalax controllers which are completely different.

Attached is the clients msinfo32 report to give you a better idea of what is on the system, and also a screen shot of the drivers information for our touch screen and your anywhereusb unit.

We have never had a driver problem with the 3M microtouch units so we are baffled as to why this would be happening.

Looks like I don’t have permission to attach a file. If anyone wants the msinfo32 .nfo file or more driver information please email me. Here are links to our driver the client is using and your driver they are using. http://ftp1.digi.com/support/driver/40002670_D.exe

Our driver is MT7.12 build 6. It appears that a new version was released a few days ago. I’ll have our client try it and get back to this thread.

Hello,

Here’s a download link to a new beta AnywhereUSB driver that has some bug fixes, which should result in less potential BSODs:

ftp://austin:!15st3n!@ftp1.digi.com/temp/40002670_v2.75.20chk.zip

Please have the end user uninstall the current AnywhereUSB driver by clicking “View / Driver Information / Uninstall” and reboot the PC when prompted. Then extract this .zip file and run setup.exe.

Does the BSOD still happen or not?
