We bought two Anywhere USB devices and are having some issues.

After making a solid connection and using the unit as intended, if I reboot it, or power down, and power up again, it will get stuck at “Connecting to this computer…” To fix this I have to go to the connections list, remove all IP addresses, then reboot the unit, change its IP address, (I am using static IP), THEN, when I hit connect it actually makes it all the way. No I don’t have Windows Firewall turned on, and yes I’m setting up my static IP addresses correctly, and no there aren’t any other devices using the IP address nor are there any other PCs trying to connect to the device.

Ok, so my other issue is with my USB device it self. Once I have the Anywhere USB up and connected properly, I power on my USB device (it is a USB extender for a Sharc DSP), and I can connect to the USB device. All is good in the world. Then, if I power cycle my USB device, I can no longer connect to it. I can’t connect to it until I reboot the Anywhere USB, and then I have to go through the entire process to get a good connection to the Anywhere USB (removing IPs from the list, and changing the IP address and all that jaz), then I can power up my USB device and connect to again.
I don’t understand why either of these are happening. I figured it might be just one of the Anywhere USB devices, but I’m having the same problem with both. I also am using the most updated drivers and firmware from the website.
I don’t want to sound impatient but this is an issue which is holding up the project I’m on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps it is a simple fix.
Thanks,
Matt
P.s. I’m using Windows 7 64bit
