AnywhereUSB 2 plus renaomly stops communicating

I have a virtual windows server 2025 that connects to the anywhereUSB 2 plus device via the network. Connected to the AnywhereUSB 2 plus device is a Kantech USB-485. The Kantech device connects the door controllers of our access control system to the server. Randomly, the controllers will report as offline. I have found that power cycling the server brings the door controllers online again. The server is running AnywhereUSB manager version 3.1.38.1. Driver version 7.1.3.121

I did try running a firmware update on the AnywhereUSB box and got an error that: “An error occured when downloading the firmware list (curl: (6) Could not resolve host: firmware.devicecloud.com).”

any ideas how to keep the door controllers from going offline and stopping communications with the windows server?

The box was purchased in May of 2024.

I suggest manually updating the firmware of the AWUSB 2 Plus to the latest version to see if that helps. The latest version (as of the time of this writing) is 25.5.52.25 and it may be downloaded here:

Once this file has been downloaded, browse to it from the AWUSB’s webUI (System > Update Firmware).
