AnywhereUSB 5/G2 Port 5 says "NoDeviceConnected"

I have 5 devices plugged into my AnyWhereUSB 5/G2. Only the devices plugged into Ports 1-4 are found and the device drivers are loaded properly, the device on Port 5 says “NoDeviceConnected” via AnywhereUSB Viewer Utility.

I’ve tried two AnywhereUSB 5/G2 devices with supposedly different specs and both have the same issue.

Have you tried the latest firmware?

What is the device you are plugging in?

Q: Have you tried the latest firmware?

A: I just updated to the latest firmware but the issue still exists.

Hello,

Are you saying that you have 5 identical USB devices (Pico USB TC-08) attached to the AnywhereUSB/5 G2? If so, does the problem “follow” USB port #5 or does it “follow” a certain USB device? To determine this, connect a known working USB device (say, that was on USB port 1) and connect it to USB port 5 and let us know the result.

Q: Are you saying that you have 5 identical USB devices (Pico USB TC-08) attached to the AnywhereUSB/5 G2?

A: Yes

Q: If so, does the problem “follow” USB port #5 or does it “follow” a certain USB device?

A: It follows USB Port #5. If I take a device that works properly on Ports #1-4 and move it to Port #5 it shows “NoDeviceConnected”.

It looks like your USB Pico devices are USB 1.1, is that correct?

For troubleshooting purposes, please connect a USB 2.0 device (such as a USB flash drive) to USB port #5 and let me know if it works or not. Also try another USB 1.1 device on that port, if possible, such as a USB mouse or keyboard, and let me know the result.

I just resolved the issue. I still don’t know exactly what was going on.

In the AnywhereUSB Viewer Utility the 5th Port kept appearing as “NoDeviceConnected”. I decided to try and connect to the Pico USB TC-08 on the 5th Port with my custom software and it connected fine. I tested this with firmware version 1.40.11.53.

Afterwards, I power cycled the AnywhereUSB hardware and opened the AnywhereUSB Viewer Utility again, but this time the 5th Port appeared showing the device as Pico USB TC-08. I tested all firmware versions 1.40.11.53, 1.60.14.20, and 1.81.15.68 and they worked fine.

Thanks for the update. Maybe the viewer utility has a bug, or wasn’t updating properly (you do have to refresh it). At any rate, glad to hear the AWUSB is working well for you!
