AnywhereUSB problem with Storage device

I´m trying to connect a digital video recorder to the anywhereusb. This recorder is a homecast s8000 cipvr with an usb 2.0 operating in bulk mode. My W2k or Wxp pc connects correctly to the anywhereusb but the video recorder is identified as unknown usb device. The anywhereusb view tool shows “DeviceFailedEnumeration” at the port where the vr is connected.

  1. The AnywhereUSB is a USB 1.1 hub. Will your DVR work with USB 1.1 hubs, or must it be connected to a USB 2.0 hub?

  2. Does your DVR install when connected directly to a PC? In other words, are you sure the DVR hardware is in working order?

  3. Are you running the latest (v1.90) AnywhereUSB driver?

For this error try to update the device with the newer driver and the firmware.
