Camera network on Zigbee

I am currently using 1 coordinator (AT) 1 router(AT) with a serial camera connected to the router. It works , I can receive data from coordinator. However, I want to extend the distance to double, what should I do? Can I just add another router between and set the PAN ID, then the image will find it’s way through the routers?

What if I want to expand the network to 1coordinator but multiple routers with multiple cameras? How do I set up the mode of xbees?

Yes you can do that but you need to understand that a Zigbee or any mesh network is not well suited for sending large amounts of data or large files. They are just simply not designed for that much traffic. You would be far better off to get a higher power and low frequency Point to point product that has a higher throughput to begin with.
