The official documentation states that when connecting to the AnywhereUSB Hub using an Ethernet LAN connection, we need to connect the Ethernet cable to the PC. The official documentation doesn’t specify that we can connect the Ethernet cable to a network router.
Is it possible to connect AnywhereUSB 2 Plus to a network router instead of a computer?
Afterwards, can we access the AnywhereUSB2 Plus from a computer on the same LAN?
yes you can access the AnywhereUSB Plus/2 through LAN in same subnet and if your routing/gateways are configured correctly, also access from different subnets or even through internet if you want to expose the AnywhereUSB Plus service port to internet (or prefer a VPN connection). Please search the user guide. Initial setup over HTTPS uses different network settings compared to AnywhereUSB service.
