Convert Wi-9P to Linux

I have the iDigi Wi-9P Starter Kit ZB. ConnectCore™ Wi-9P 9215

I want to convert the dev board to use u-boot and linux.

I have two questions if you don’t mind.

  1. Is there a way to get u-boot onto the board without jtag? I believe this board is running NET-OS.

  2. If not then since this kits does not come with a jtag programmer can I use another jtag programmer like one supported by openOCD to flash u-boot onto it?

Update.

I have converted this to linux. Hardest part getting wifi calibration data but tech support was very helpful.
