Device not provisioned for this service

Digi Connect Tank

Attempting to send an SMS message to our Digi Connect Tank product to change the APN is unsuccessful due to a “Device not provisioned for this service”. What does this message mean? What must we do to successfully change the APN from the default AT&T APN to our airtime carrier’s APN?

It sounds like you have your Tank Upload Method configured for TCPIP only.

You can log into the Device Cloud and double-click on your device. In the device page go to Device Settings - and select Tank Upload Method to include SMS. Then wake up the device to download the changes…
