I am testing a Wi-SP serial port server onboard an automated guided vehicle.
The issue I am having, is that although it is operating in a network of 8 Wi-Fi access points, it does not appear to be roaming properly. The device will stay associated with a single access point until the signal is lost, it becomes disassociated, and at that point it acquires the nearest access point. (viewing the web interface you can see the ‘not associated’ counter increment when this happens.
The devices that we currently have in place (Symbol CB-1000s with PCI radio cards), will seemlessly switch to the strongest access point.
Any ideas?
