Cabling, possibly

We have two TS4 portservers connecting our paging terminal to our remote database manager computer. The program we use to manage the database is circa 1999 and only accpets com port 1-4 so the Digi software is a moot point.

Instead we go from DB9 on the computer to RJ45 on the Digi (altpin is on) to our network, then translate it back from Digi at remote location to DB25 to our terminal.

Everything worked before I left for six months. I come back, we can’t connect and cables are missing. This system was installed early 2000 and everyone involved in it has since left. We are not familiar with portservers by any means. Here are the pinouts:

DB9 Computer

2-Rx
3-Tx
1-CD
4-DTR
5-GND

DB25 Terminal

2-Tx
3-Rx
7-GND
8-CD
20-DTR

I can link locally to the terminal with a homemade cable and using the cable that runs from the terminal to the digi - so that’s not an issue. Both devices are using port 2 and both are forwarding to each other. We have a TNPP cable on port 1 that both digis pass just fine so the digi itself is working. Any help would be appreciated.
