I upgraded the firmware on one of my One SPs without upgrading the post first and now when I power up the unit the power led flashes four times then goes off and I cannot connect through either port. Resetting the unit results in the usual 1-5-1 blink pattern but upon resealing the reset switch the power led flashes four times and then goes off. Does anyone have any suggestions for recovering this unit? I have tried the recovery method when the blink patter is 1-9-1 and I get no response.
You might want to take a look at the link below, on
How to Recover A Digi One SP or Digi One IA
first you can try a factory reset:
https://www.digi.com/resources/documentation/digidocs/90000583/default.htm#tasks/t_reset_device_config_factory_defaults.htm
or https://www.digi.com/support/knowledge-base/how-to-factory-reset-a-portserver-ts-or-digi-one-s
if this doesn’t help you can try to recover the firmware via TFTP presuming the POST boot loader does still work, see: https://www.digi.com/support/knowledge-base/the-portserver-ts-unit-will-not-boot
this knowledge base also works for Digi One SP.
