DigiMesh firmware 8003 is incompatible with XBIB-R Rev7

Hi there

I 'scoped out Rev 7 of the XBIB-R board, and compared Rev4 schematics to Rev7. The salient difference is that the RS-232 Level Translation IC is enabled by VCC_MODULE in Rev4 (essentially always enabled), whereas Rev7 uses PWRDN. PWRDN is the XBee output ON/notSLEEP on pin 13, which seems to be always low, and shutting down the RS-232 IC.

Digi Tech Support seems to be totally unaware of this incompatibility, and has been insisting that I have a bad setup or bad hardware.

The XBIB-R Rev7 board was obtained from Digi-Key.

The recent Digimesh firmware upgrade, version 804b, resolves this incompatibility with the XBIB Rev.7 board.
