Discovery Tool One SP - Direct Connection to a PC

When I connect a standalone PC to the Digi One SP using a standard Ethernet Patch Cable the Discovery Tool is not seeing it.

Are there recommended Adapter settings on PC Network Card for Discovery Tool to work?
Should I be using a crossover cable - (I wouldn’t have thought so these days with most devices and PC’s supporting Auto MDIX)

Should I set PC to be on a specific subnet?

Is there a default IP address for the device if I do a factory reset?

You can try using a crossover cable but also check that you don’t have a firewall active on your pc. See the troubleshooting knowledgebase; https://www.digi.com/support/knowledge-base/device-discovery-troubleshooting-tips

What specific Firewall settings should I be looking for. FYI - The Laptop has Windows 10 Pro -
Also, can you confirm if the unit has a factory default IP address? I couldn’t see any reference to it in the manual.
