Is there a Windows 7 driver available for the Edgeport/8 P/N 301-1002-20? Lee
Not yet. We should be getting an estimated release date soon. I will let you know when we have that info.
Thanks so much for your response. It’s nice to know someone hears you!! We’ll standby. Lee
Any new news? I have Edge/1 and need despretly drivers for Win 7…
Vista drivers (40002537 G) work fine with my Edgeport/4 & probably other variants, on both 32 & 64 bit versions of Windows 7. You do have to manually install the port drivers though as follows.
Plug in device & install from driver location as normal. When complete Device Manager will show (in my case) four Unknown Devices. With each in turn select Driver tab then Update driver. Choose Browse my Computer for driver software then point to location. Drivers will install & COM ports will then appear under Ports (COM & LPT).

We are hoping to have a new Edgeport driver out by March that will add support for Windows 7 and will be WHQL’d (digitally signed by Microsoft).
Thanks in advance for your patience while we work on this!
I purchased a used Edgeport/8 off eBay for a great price to use with a new Windows 7 notebook I was picking up. I plugged in the Edgeport/8, Windows did the typical USB new device attached pop-up and then went off to Windows Update online and found what it needed. Besides the drivers, it installed the config utility. Everything worked perfectly without any intervention on my part. It was “plug and play”.
My new Acer notepad is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and it is working well.
